The National Earth Observations and Space Secretariat (NEOSS) in collaboration with The South African Group on Earth Observations (SA-GEO) and The South African National Space Agency (SANSA) is pleased to invite you to the upcoming Human Settlement and Spatial Planning Community of Practice (CoP) Webinar, taking place virtually on 27 November 2025 from 09:00 -11:00.
This webinar will showcase the application of Earth Observation (EO) and geospatial technologies in advancing spatial planning and fostering sustainable, climate-resilient communities with a particular focus on local municipalities and informal settlements. The session will also highlight the availability of geospatial data and products that support government authorities, researchers, and other stakeholders in promoting evidence-based policy formulation and decision-making for inclusive and resilient development.
Participants who wish to present their work related to the use of Earth Observation (EO) and geospatial technologies in human settlements and spatial planning are kindly requested to submit an abstract for a 10-minute presentation.
