Invitation to the joint SA-GEO and SND event
Dear Stakeholder,
You are kindly invited to participate in the 4th SA-GEO symposium and 3rd Space for National Development (SND) jointly co-hosted by the South African National Space Agency (SANSA) and the DSI’s National Earth Observation and Space Secretariat (NEOSS) that will be held at the CSIR International Convention Centre, Pretoria, South Africa, from 15-17 March 2022.

The South African Group on Earth Observations (SA-GEO) symposium is an annual gathering of the South Africa’s Space science and technology community that aims to highlight, promote, and share knowledge and information on space and Earth observation applications, products, services, and their use to realising socio-economic and environmental benefit and improved decision-making. The symposium also provides an opportunity for researchers, academics, public officials (local, provincial, national and parastatal), industry, data suppliers, consultants, NGOs, and other professionals interested in Earth Observations to interact.

Whereas the Space for National Development event (SND) brings together decision makers in the national space fraternity to learn about SANSA and its relevance to national imperatives and in so doing ignite conversations amongst the delegates on how best to develop a coordinated and collective approach towards a space programme for national development.

The events feature an exciting programme that captures a line-up of keynote addresses, panel discussions, showcasing and technical sessions and poster papers. The events also feature an Industry networking and showcasing opportunity, as well as a space science and technology exhibition, that is tailored to encourage engagement.

We are looking forward to your participation.
