At the end of March this year, the CSIR Satellite Applications Centre (SAC) partnered with the GARNET-E FP7 project to host a workshop for SADC representatives at Amanzingwe in Broederstroom, South Africa on 29-30 March 2011. This was the final official SAC event under the CSIR banner, before the facility joined the newly established South African National Space Agency (SANSA) as the SANSA Space Operations Directorate on 1 April 2011.
