Mr Tsheko Ratsheko

Mr Tsheko Ratsheko

Tsheko Ratsheko is an Advocate in private practice. He is an independent member of the Audit and Risk Committee of the Council of the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA). He was formerly the Group Compliance and Sustainability Manager at Exxaro Resources Limited and former Head of the Gauteng Environment Inspectorate. In this role, he spent time at the United Kingdom Environment Agency as a Commonwealth Fellow.

Prior to that, he was the Regulatory and Corporate Legal Advisor for the South African Bureau of Standards (SABS); Deputy Registrar of Intellectual Property Office at the Department of Trade and Industry(DTI). His qualifications include BJURIS, LLB (UNISA), LLM in Human Rights and Constitutional Practice (University of Pretoria), LLM in Communications Law (including Space and Satellite Law)(Wits). He is currently registered for the degree of Master of Philosophy in Applied Ethics (specialisation in Business Ethics) at St Augustine College.
