Before joining Mgwali Holdings, he was CEO of the National Nuclear Regulator. Maurice was also employed by Eskom in various capacities, including Senior Nuclear Safety Physicist and by PBMR as Licensing Manager.
In addition to his management roles, his most significant roles include being the President of the Convention on Nuclear Safety, a member of the Commission on Safety Standards (CSS) of the IAEA and as a Board Member of ARECSA, a joint venture between the South African and French governments to address skills shortages in nuclear in South Africa. He holds a Master of Physics degree from the Rice University in the USA.
