Dr Liz Gavin

Dr Liz Gavin is employed by the South African Revenue Service as Revenue Analysis. Previously she served as Executive Director of EIS Africa, an African network for the cooperative management of environmental information, and remains involved in the organisation’s initiatives.

Her experience in spatial information management and utilisation spans spatial modelling for the Agricultural Research Council, leading the development of the National Spatial Information Framework and participating in national and international geographic information standards development.

She headed up Stats SA's information-intensive support functions and also had responsibility for the production of official population and social statistics.
